It's location to Old San Juan, walking distance to Burger King and beaches. A very quiet hotel.
Not a very clean room. No iron and ironboard, no telephone in the room. Wifi connection was very poor. On the photos on the internet the pool seems to be bigger than it is in real life.
The actual food was well prepared. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
The rooms are not at all what you would expect. The 'hotel' itself has potential but could use soem repairing. We didn't enjoy hot water until the third day of our fourth day stay. Walking up stairs after a long shopping day is not something to look forward to either. There was also a minor bug and leaking problem. Also the free continental breakfast could be improved.
The pictures on the website for this hotel are very misleading. The rooms are in need of paint and are strangely furnished with beds that barely fit the room. There was mold in the bathroom. The reviews from Frommers and the New York Times must be very old as they no longer apply. We were told that the vegetarian restaurant had switched to meat dishes the week before we arrived. The one remaining tofu dish for dinner was terrible. The continental breakfast was coffee (no tea), orange juice and two slices of brown bread. The hotel is way over priced for what it offers.
This place was disgusting- our room was filthy and smelled horrible, and the food in the restaurant (which is no longer vegetarian) was some of the worst food I've ever eaten. Overall, an awful experience.
Frankly, there was not much to like about this hotel! The only positive was its location and proximity to the beach!!!
Hotel Staff: Hotel was under-staffed. Only one person at the front desk who was responsible for check-in and all other guest requirements! Accommodations: Room was not prepared. No towels in the room. After asking the lone front-desk person for towels, received two old worn bath towels with holes! Bathroom was not clean. No glasses for drinking water or ice bucket. Ceiling fan was broke. Lights missing light bulbs. Some did not work at all! In-room refrigerator was dirty and iced-up beyond use. The room was dated and filled with furnishing at least 15-20 years old! The lobby was made to look fancy and up-to-date but upon closer inspection, it too was dated and not well maintained. Chairs in the lounge area had covers torn and ripped. The bathroom in the lobby was disgustingly dirty and smelly!
Room's furniture, value for it's price, no parking space
Was convenient to beach and close to old. San Juan
Loved the location!!!! Price was good.
Hot water pressure and would have liked more towels.
The concierge Manny was awesome. He was very friendly, offer a lot of suggestions and overall made our stay there very enjoyable. They need to hire more of him. He not only was managing phones, checking us in, servicing other customer needs, but he was also the bartender, tour guide, and just overall supreme advocate of getting out and seeing Puerto Rico for what Puerto rico is...lots of good music, good eating and Great people.
The Villa that we stayed very roomy and comfortable, but the kitchen was quite dirty. There was no amenities to clean or wash anything. So it made it quite hard to want to use the kitchen other than basic small cooking. Its a shame since the proximity to the supermarket would have made life really easy to grab some groceries and cook.
The nearby beach was beautiful.
The rooms were small, uncomfortable, and not very clean. On at one day, the maid did not come to clean the room, though we were gone all day. Hotel staff were friendly, but not very helpful in suggesting activities, places to eat, how to get around, etc.
It's location was ideal - close to all the hot spots. Staff young and friendly - nice
Feel that rooms should be improved a little - furniture and bedding old
Excellent Staff at the hotel and its location was perfect for the beach lovers.
Your staff was wonderful, always available and very friendly. We liked the location.
It was a bit more rustic than I expected, but priced well.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful; they made everyone feel welcomed and they even sat and chatted with people that stayed there. I also loved the fact that it was so close to the beach...it's only about a 2 min walk.
I thought the room as too small for the price I paid; it was cluttered. I also did not think that the room was cleaned very well, the floor was dirty and there was hair everywhere. When we got there we asked for new sheets because the ones on the bed were stained.
We felt welcomed, comfortable and were a couple of blocks away from the beach.
The complimentary breakfast was miserable (w/ the exception of the Chilean plum), we had to buy our own breakfast.
